Mind
the Compass
Are you managing by the clock, leading with a
compass, or both?
Is there a difference and does it matter? Yes and yes.
Some of us live by our compass and some of us are
driven by our clocks. The few, the great, the champions, know how to make the best use of their clock and their compass.
1. People
leading by their compass lead their lives; people managing by their clock manage
their time.
2. People
leading by their compass respond to the stimulus coming to them; people managing
by their clock react to the stimulus in their lives.
3. People
leading by their compass become victors of life; people managing by their clock
become victims of their schedules.
4. People
leading by their compass reach their destination and enjoy their journeys; people
managing by their clock are so focused only on the destination they forget to
enjoy their journeys.
5. People
leading by their compass rely on their maps; people managing by their clock rely
on their planners.
6. People
leading by their compass live life by design; people managing by their clock have
their lives live them.
7. People
leading by their compass know where they are going and enjoy the ride; people managing
by their clock survive through their days and are glad when Friday comes.
How about keeping the clock on your wrist and the
compass in your mind? Each has its own usefulness. Peak on the clock every once
in a while, be fully aware of the surroundings, and above all mind the compass
to prevent getting lost on your way to your destination.
Be blessed and be a
blessing to others.
