The Wit and Wisdom of Ronald Reagan – 05

The Wit and Wisdom of Ronald Reagan – 05

1.      I believe there was a divine plan to place this great continent here between the two oceans to be found by people from every corner of the earth. I believe we were preordained to carry the torch of freedom for the world.

2.      General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you see liberation: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

3.      The only land abroad we occupy is the land beneath the graves where our heroes rest.

4.      All of these things – learning to control government, limiting the amount of money it can take from us, protecting our country through strong defense – all of these things revolve around one word, and that word is “freedom.”

5.      The task that has fallen to us as Americans is to move the conscience of the world, to keep alive the hope and dream of freedom.

6.      History is on the side of the free. The Crisis of confidence in the West a decade ago has been replaced by strength and assurance.

7.      In the 2,765 days of our administration, not once inch of ground has fallen to the communists.

Thank you for reading and reflecting on today’s nuggets. Share them with others.

Be blessed and be a blessing to others.
