A lesson is repeated until ... a lesson is learned!
We learn from mistakes. We all make mistakes and goof ups. The key is to make new mistakes. If there are so many mistakes to be made, why not make new ones instead of repeating the same ones?
Interview yourself. Why not? Take 30 minutes to answer the following 7 questions. It will be time well spent. How can we help others if we don’t know who we are? How can we know where we are going if we don't know where we come from? Just do it, do it now and I promise you it will be the best 30 minutes of your life. Share your questions and answers with family, friends, and others around you. Suggest your friends doing the same and sharing their answers with you. The world becomes a better place once we take the time to know who we are not just what we do.
