Mining the mind

Mining the mind

1.      Pour your wallet into your head.
2.      Learn how to mine your own mind.
3.      Make your driving passion leading people to the truth.
4.      If you have enough ducks in a row you need to get more ducks.

6.      What are you crazy about? Give your life to a worthy battle, a worthy cause.
7.      Have the mindset of a champion. It’s not as important to make the right decision as to make the decision right.

What is insanity?

What is insanity?

1.      The people who think they can change themselves are the ones that do.
2.      Don’t you wished then you would have believed more?
3.      People are anxious to improve their lives but they are unwilling to improve themselves; that’s insanity.
4.      You cannot change the destination of your life today, but you can change the direction towards your destination.
5.      There is a lot more pressure to be broke than to be financially free. You CAN write the script of your financial life.
6.      If you don’t have a plan for life you will fall into someone else’s plan.
7.      One of the prime responsibilities of a leader is to encourage others to become better.

Becoming Better

Becoming Better

1.      We can only make our lives better when we become better ourselves.
2.      By becoming better we become blessed beyond what we deserve.
3.      Becoming better emotionally is more important than becoming better intellectually.
4.      People crave to be around likeminded people.
5.      We are free to become and do what we imagine.
6.      We are all given the ability to dream because we can achieve our dreams.
7.      Become an eagle instead of a chicken; the view is always better from the top.

Ask yourself the right questions: What if? Why not? Why not me?

PRICELESS Nuggets

PRICELESS Nuggets

Today’s nuggets come from the conclusion of the book PRICELESS - Sixty-Six Simple Stories of Reflection, Love, and Legacy.

1.      Learn what make each person unique; everyone has a unique story to tell. What is your story?
2.      We discover ourselves when we lose ourselves for the benefit of others. How many people are living better lives because of your life?
3.      We all have God-given seeds of greatness inside us. Have you sprouted your seeds yet?
4.      Learn to connect with others and learn from them. How good a connector are you?
5.      Become a collector of stories and then a storyteller. How many great stories have you collected in 2014?
6.      Discover your gifts and abilities early on and master and leverage them. What are your top 10 gifts you can offer to the world?
7.      Make your life count. Are you using silence and solitude to reflect on the life you are living?

Resilience

RESILIENCE

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
― Nelson Mandela

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” - Helen Keller

Failure is a familiar trauma in life, but its lessons on people vary widely.
What is resilience and how to develop it? Here are the nuggets:

1.      Resilience is an individual's ability to properly adapt to stress and adversity.
2.      Resilience is the ability to become successful after something bad happens to us.
3.      Resilience is that unique quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever before.
4.      Resilience means being able to adapt to life's many misfortunes and setbacks.
5.      Resilience is the ability to recover from fumbles or outright mistakes and bounce back due to flexibility and humility to learn.
6.      Resilience is the ability to face adversity and coming through it even better for the experience.
7.      Resilience is the capacity to withstand stress and catastrophe without losing the zest for living.

Just asking

The Power of Asking Questions

There is power in asking the right questions to the right people at the right time.

Great communication comes from asking great questions.

1.      Ask who, what, when, where, and how questions. Who can help me get from what to what by when?
2.      Ask the why and why not questions. Why shouldn’t I pursue this opportunity?
3.      Ask engagement questions. Can you imagine living your dreams?
4.      Ask discovery questions. Would you help me understand?
5.      Ask perspective questions. What do you think about my line of thinking?
6.      Ask open-ended questions. Why do you do what you do?
7.      Ask persuasion questions. Can you see you pursuing such endeavor if you knew you could not fail?

Make your questions bigger than your answers and reflect on the answers you get.

Freedom is PRICELESS

Freedom is NOT free

1.      Freedom is priceless and very fragile. Can you imagine living in a place where someone tells you what to believe in, where, how, when, and how much to work, and who to vote for?
2.      The spiritual, economic, and political freedoms we enjoy had a cost to them. Once freedom is lost, there is a very high cost to get it back.
3.      The ignorant is never free. If you think education is expensive, look at the cost of ignorance.
4.      Freedom is personal. What does freedom mean to you?
5.      We are always one generation away from losing our freedom. Are we going to be that generation who was responsible for giving away our freedoms?
6.      Make your responsibility greater than your freedom. Education is the key to preserve freedom.
7.      Make your contributions greater than your rewards. What part do you play in preserving our freedoms?

Becoming Resilient

Learning from Failures

Never waste a failure; learn from them.

What can failures teach us?

1.      Failures are never final. There is only one way to become a failure; give up.
2.      Failures make us more resilient. Go for even bigger failures.
3.      Failures make us more humble. Humiliation is necessary to become humble.
4.      Failures make us mad. Learn to get over the madness quickly.
5.      Failures do not define who we are. We are way bigger than any of our failures.
6.      Failures lead us to a great victory. One great victory erases all failures.
7.      Failures lead us to become better thinkers. Great thinking leads us to lasting success.

All my struggles and failures led me to Christ.

The Greatest Gift

Life is a gift

A great life is lived one moment at a time!

1.      Discover your purpose in life. Develop a clear vision on how to live your purpose.
2.      Life becomes boring when we stop learning. Never waste a mistake you make.
3.      Remember that someone is always watching you. What you say and do matters a great deal.
4.      Respond instead of reacting on everything that happens to you. It takes mental strength and discipline to respond appropriately.
5.      Communicate, cooperate and connect with others. Demonstrate empathy and grace.
6.      Respect everyone, trust is earned. It takes time to build a reputation; seconds to lose it.
7.      Look at the window after a victory; look at the mirror after a defeat. Give credit to other for the victories and take responsibility for the defeats.

The Greatest Battle

The Greatest Battle

The greatest battle we will fight is the battle in our own mind.

Here are a few thoughts to win this important battle:

1.      We are the product of our own thinking. Thought are real and powerful.
2.      Learn to think great thoughts. Think about thinking.
3.      We get only what we picture. Mental creation precedes physical creation.
4.      Sight is required when we want to see before believing. Vision is required to go from believing to seeing.
5.      No one will do the thinking for us. We must take full responsibility for our own thoughts.
6.      Thinking is hard; if it was easy more people would do it. Think great thoughts at least twice a day; at the start and at the end of each day.
7.      We deserve the blessings we ask for. We must do the work necessary to bring those blessings our way.

How Bountiful Is Your Harvest?

We Reap What We Sow

1.      We are where we are in life because of the decisions we have made.
2.      Sow iniquity and trouble and reap the same.
3.      Judge others and be certain to be judged.
4.      We reap the fruits of our deeds.
5.      Sow blessings and blessings will be coming to you.
6.      Sow mercy and grace and be forgiven and graceful.
7.      Sow knowledge and wisdom and be forever wise.
