Can you define it?

How to define success

WHAT IS SUCCESS TO YOU?  To me success is the freedom to be who I am.

1)      Define success. Mark today as the day you made the commitment to change your life for better. What makes you live a fulfilling life? Never live another day without a goal directed to fulfill your dream.

2)      Write it down. Take the time necessary to write down your definition of success; keep it visible. If it is not written, it does not exist.

3)      Pursue it. No matter your definition and ultimate goal in life, pursue it with passion and determination. Persist all the way to the end.

4)      Protect it. Stay away from people who aspire nothing more than going through a day’s work then surfing sports channels before passing out on the couch. Be aware of dream robbers.

5)      How bad do you want it? If your heart truly desires success you will achieve it. When you want success as much as wanting air to breathe you will have it.

6)      Add the passion. Prepare and pursue success with un-matched passion. Life without passion is simply a boring life.

7)      Make a difference. The world will be a better place because you desired, defined, pursued, and persisted until your success became your reality. You can do it. You can make a difference.

Got fire?

Where is the fire?

Are you burning or just burned down?

1.      Connect. How strong is your emotional connection with your purpose? Live a life of meaning.

2.      Potential. Are you tapping into the astounding potential inside you? Harness the creativity and innovation by using your intelligence and emotions.

3.      Community. Are you part of a community with a culture that is emotionally connected on a mission towards a common vision and cause? Be part of a community that makes a difference in the lives of others.

4.      Character. Are you continuously building connections by the stellar quality of your character? Leadership is character in motion.

5.      Results. Are you performing to the best of your skills and abilities?

6.      Environment. What is the quality of the environment you are part of? Leaders create the environment for individuals and teams to build innovative businesses.

7.      Lead and inspire. How inspirational are you? Motivational and incentive programs only produce short term results (soft wood that burns fast) while leadership/inspirational environment creates a culture where people feel connected to each other and the work they do (hard wood that burns long).

More valuable than gold

Old Gold

Take these old golden nuggets and use them; only if you want to live a better life.

1.      Self-assessment. An honest self-assessment is the key to personal growth. Choose to get better.

2.      Self-deception. Self-deception is lethal to happiness. Be true to yourself.

3.      Responsibility. Accept full responsibility for your actions. Accept the consequences from your actions.

4.      Avoidance. Avoid being a prosperous fool. Chase the right goals and dreams.

5.      Prosperity. True prosperity is ruled by wisdom. Wealth offers no immunity to error and stupidity.

6.      Kindness. Acts of kindness are never wasted. They cost little and they are priceless for those receiving them.

7.      Self-indulgence. Self-indulgence and ego are dangerous propositions. Choose restraint.

You choose

Significance or Mediocrity?

What are you chasing or settling for?

1.      The decision. It all starts with making a personal decision either to live a significant life or not to decide to live a mediocre life. Will you make the decision?

2.      The depth. Take a close look at what is going on beneath the surface of your living. What is the depth of your life?

3.      The truth. Face the truth by taking a self-assessment or inventory of you. Are you being self-deceived?

4.      The patterns. Look for patterns where you are spending your time, money, and energy. Are you converting or wasting your potential energy?

5.      The barriers. Find the barriers you created for yourself: lack of energy and passion, negativity, impatience, lack of depth in relationships, etc. Are you breaking through your own barriers?

6.      The purpose. The above will help to discover your purpose, the reason for living and using precious oxygen. Are you just sucking up oxygen because it is free?

7.      The changes. Remember that lasting changes require having a crystal clear purpose, facing the truth, and taking action based on correct knowledge. How are you dealing with change?
