Stephen Covey wrote the book, what now is a classic, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Why not applying the habits to our financial life? If we do so, over time we can transform our personal finances. Today we look at the fifth habit. Each habit will list 7 financial actions we can apply towards ourselves and our finances.
Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood
1 They understand the principles of money.
2 They know the diff. between needs and wants.
3 They know the diff. between assets and liabilities.
4 They know the diff. between expenses and investments.
5 They don’t spend money to impress others.
6 They understand taxation and inflation.
7 They avoid getting into financial traps like debt.
