YES, success has a price worth paying for. The opposite of success is not failure; it is quitting.

The cost of quitting is much higher than the price of success. The cost of quitting is living a life full of regrets.

        How resilient are you?

3.      Worth. Success has a value. 

       What is success worth to you?

4.      Fear. Most fear is unfounded.

5.      Security. Most folks are after security. 

       Is there significance in a secure life?

6.      Safety. There is no fun in a safe life. 

       Is there significance in a risk free life?

7.      Treasure. The ones seeking security and safety will never find the treasure buried inside them.

Success looks different for every successful person; failure looks the same. Success comes from the application of proven principles known for centuries. Failure is one’s inability to achieve one’s goals and dreams. It all boils down to abilities! The great thing about abilities is that any of us can develop and master them. Here are 7 important ones.

1.      Choosability. They wisely choose their endeavors. To them it is not so much about making the right decisions as it is about making the decisions right.

2.      Stickability. They stick to their endeavors long after others have quit. They are willing to face strong opposition and ridicule on the pursuit of their visions.

3.      Networkability. They surround themselves with people who have abilities they may not have. They are great orchestrators and get uncommon results from dealing with common people.

4.      Couragability. They dare to go where others don’t have the courage to go. Their inner strength moves them in the direction of their goals and dreams, one little victory at a time.

5.      Rejectability. They are willing to face rejection and remain positive in the midst of negativity. They learned not to take it personal.

6.      Likability. Each in their own way they develop a form of charisma where others like to associate with them. There is something about them others like and would like to be alike.

7.      Luckability. They create their own luck (laboring under correct knowledge). They master the basics of their game and become professionals in their field.

1.      Count your blessings. Be grateful for what others receive.

2.      Show grace and kindness. Do it for everyone, especially for the one that least deserves it.

3.      Embrace your tears. Tears bring seeds of joy with them.

4.      Resolve conflict. Clarity is a product of conflict resolution.

5.      Practice forgiveness. Forgiveness allows the forgiver to erase the past and move forward.

6.      Refrain from judging others. We don’t know the journey they have been through.

7.      Mind your own cross. Complaining does not make the cross any lighter; acceptance does.

If it is up to be it is up to me.

This story was written by an Unknown Monk, in 1100 A.D.

“When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.  Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world."

1.       We first have to want to change; something compelling to change.

2.      The seeds of change are already inside us; it is called desires.

3.      Changing ourselves is hard enough; imagine changing someone else.

4.      Refusing to change it is the same thing as leading a horse to water.

5.      You can take the horse to the well but you can't make the horse drink.

6.      You can always add some salt to the oats before you lead the horse to the water.

3.      Businesses. The abilities to work and support our ethical businesses.

4.      Freedoms. The abilities to exercise our political, economic, and spiritual freedoms.

5.      Recreations. The abilities to recreate inside and outside our magnificent land.

6.      Leaders. The abilities to follow leaders worthy of following.

7.      Abundance. We give thanks for the plenty we have to live happy lives.

Why are so many people miserable?

Suggest shifting the focus from the outside world and pay close attention to the inside world. Little by little our happiness increases.

1.      Focus on our own lives instead of the lives of others. Mind your own happiness.

2.      Give utmost attention to the present. Let go of the past.

3.      Have faith and hope for a better future. Chase your dreams and you will be happier.

4.      Simplify your life. Focus on the inside instead of clinging and accumulating things.

5.      Take control of your time and money. Our daily decisions make or break us.

6.      Spend time with nature. Bring in the marvels of creation into your life.

7.      Pray like it all depends on God. Work like it all depends on you.

Truth is sweet to the ear

Things change when we change things.
