Mind the Gap

Mind the Gap

1.      Take an honest assessment of where you are in life. The mirror is your friend.
2.      Define where you want to be in life. Decide and commit to going there.
3.      Feel the tension. The tension will drive you to action.
4.      Learn the route. Learn and apply all you can about the path to your destination.
5.      Do the work. Without action nothing really happens.
6.      Mind the gap. Enjoy the journey as the gap keeps getting smaller and smaller.
7.      Never surrender. Keep your senses on your destination and watch for traps.

Priceless Advice

Priceless Advice

If you are getting on your 1st vehicle to success in your 20’s, shifting gears in your 40’s or changing vehicles in your 50’s this recipe may be helpful to you. There has never been a better time to become what you were meant to be. The principles of success in the new economy are the same ones that worked in previous economies. Read, reflect, apply, and profit from today’s nuggets.

1.    Own the right business.
Owning the right business asset is the key to personal freedom. The right business asset is the one that provides income without you being there tending the shop.

2.    Define what you want out of your business and life.
This is the most important step that most people bypass or totally overlook. The mission and vision come from a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Find your deep desires and from them will spring your purpose.

3.    Invest in your personal leadership development.
This is the investment that all others investments depends on. Never shortchange your personal development.

4.    Become highly educated about money and finances.
Get out of debt and stay out of debt. Debt in most cases is stupid. Be financially fit.

5.    Leverage technology.
The internet is a powerful tool to do business. Leverage the power of being a fast fish in a big pond.

6.    Leverage direct distribution.
Direct to consumer is the way to go. Wanting to become a dinosaur by following the same route will endanger you then make you extinct.

7.    Be mobile.
Build it from home, from anywhere to everywhere. Use the bazooka before you use the riffle.

8.    Leverage a proven system.
A proven system produces predictable performance. Learn a proven system first, and then make changes to make it better.

9.    Find the right mentors.
Work with mentors that have been successful. Follow their advice and footsteps. Find successful people in your fiend of endeavor and learn from them. Apply what you learn, do what they did, and success will come to you as well.

10.          Build and strengthen relationships.
The speed of your business is based on the speed of trust of your relationships. Be patient as it may take longer than you expect at first but Godspeed comes later.

Have you really lived your life?

Have you really lived your life?

You have not truly lived if you have not faced a few of the following challenges:

1.      Major obstacles and setbacks on your way to achieving a major goal or a dream.

2.      Several blunders, goof-ups, failures, even tragedies and survived to find humor in them.

3.      Multiple rejections and through them found your purpose and cause.

4.      Downsized, rightsized or whatever corporate word is used for firing and had to change career or profession.

5.      Started and failed in business a few times until you learned enough to succeed.

6.      Life threatening illness or others forms of danger to come out stronger.

7.       Suffered deep frustrations, despair, or depressions and lived to see the valley from the mountaintop.

God does not pick superstars to do His works. Could you be the one He is looking for? Be aware you may have to go through hell before you can recognize heaven.

Where Can We Find Security?

Where Can We Find Security?

We know we are living in fast changing times where the majority of people don’t feel secure.
This is common when entering a new economic era. The feeling of insecurity is broad and deep among the masses as we enter the entrepreneurial digital era. Security is no longer where it used to be. So where can we find security so we can feel better about our futures?

1.      Security is no longer found in gold and silver.
2.      Security is no longer found in stocks and bonds.
3.      Security is no longer found in a pension or 401k.
4.      Security is no longer found in a secure government job.
5.      Security is no longer found in diplomas and credentials.
6.      Security is no longer found in a safe job with good benefits.
7.      Security is only found in our ability to be relevant in the new digital age.
