WHY IS IT?

Why do we resist change?

1.      Comfort. Being stuck with old thinking of lack of it.
2.      Fear. Fear of failure and what others will think of us (pure nonsense).
3.      Avoidance. We avoid the things we think we cause us pain when it is only through pain that we change.
4.      Lack of a reason. If we don’t have a compelling reason to change, we just don’t.
5.      Obstacles. Focusing on the obstacles instead of what is on the other side.
6.      Ego. Just get over it!
7.      Wimpy. Wimpification is becoming pervasive in our culture.

Leadership starts with us. Start changing yourself today!

SO WHAT IS IT?

What is holding you back?

1.      Limiting beliefs. Find out what your limiting beliefs are and ignore them.
2.      The pursuit of a dream. Define your dreams and choose to pursue them. Big dreams help us overcome the necessary pain to achieve them. Our choices determine our future.
3.      Learning and action. Be proactive and inspire others by your example. Our brains are designed to be exercised by continuous education.
4.      Fear of change. Change is necessary for any progress.
5.      Self-deception. Stop justifying and start taking responsibility.
6.      Distractions. Watch for the multitude of traps populated by underachievers.
7.      Thinking problems instead of solutions. Shift gears from problem to solution mode.

Leadership is a decision and it starts with us. Start fixing yourself today!

Can you define it?

How to define success

WHAT IS SUCCESS TO YOU?  To me success is the freedom to be who I am.

1)      Define success. Mark today as the day you made the commitment to change your life for better. What makes you live a fulfilling life? Never live another day without a goal directed to fulfill your dream.

2)      Write it down. Take the time necessary to write down your definition of success; keep it visible. If it is not written, it does not exist.

3)      Pursue it. No matter your definition and ultimate goal in life, pursue it with passion and determination. Persist all the way to the end.

4)      Protect it. Stay away from people who aspire nothing more than going through a day’s work then surfing sports channels before passing out on the couch. Be aware of dream robbers.

5)      How bad do you want it? If your heart truly desires success you will achieve it. When you want success as much as wanting air to breathe you will have it.

6)      Add the passion. Prepare and pursue success with un-matched passion. Life without passion is simply a boring life.

7)      Make a difference. The world will be a better place because you desired, defined, pursued, and persisted until your success became your reality. You can do it. You can make a difference.

Got fire?

Where is the fire?

Are you burning or just burned down?

1.      Connect. How strong is your emotional connection with your purpose? Live a life of meaning.

2.      Potential. Are you tapping into the astounding potential inside you? Harness the creativity and innovation by using your intelligence and emotions.

3.      Community. Are you part of a community with a culture that is emotionally connected on a mission towards a common vision and cause? Be part of a community that makes a difference in the lives of others.

4.      Character. Are you continuously building connections by the stellar quality of your character? Leadership is character in motion.

5.      Results. Are you performing to the best of your skills and abilities?

6.      Environment. What is the quality of the environment you are part of? Leaders create the environment for individuals and teams to build innovative businesses.

7.      Lead and inspire. How inspirational are you? Motivational and incentive programs only produce short term results (soft wood that burns fast) while leadership/inspirational environment creates a culture where people feel connected to each other and the work they do (hard wood that burns long).
